Engagement Session Tips
- Schedule a convenient time and date and be ready to go
- Choose the proper location but no more than two locations
- Schedule hair and makeup appointments
- Decide on the outfits that are appropriate for your location
- Get your nails done, for close-up shots of your hands and don’t forget your ring
- Bring comfortable shoes, you will be walking around to different locations
- Bring water and snacks
- Bring makeup for touch-ups, lips, face powder
- Since you are all dressed up and ready, why not add a lovely late lunch or early dinner date for just the two of you.
Bonus tip: Have your hair and makeup trial done on the same day as your engagement session. This way, you get to see how it looks in photos and can let your make up or hair stylist know if there’s anything you’d like to change.
What to wear – Clothing, wardrobe
- Pick did you want to say clothes that reflect your personality and don’t be afraid to get fancy
- Clothing that flows with you as you move dance and twirl. Flatter the figure and look romantic in dips and walking
- Choose clothing that compliments each other
- Add at least one accessory – such as jewelry, necklace, sunglasses, watch, hat, scarf
- Bring at least two changes of clothing
- Solids will work better than patterns or stripes, florals also can work.
- Pastel colors look best, light and soft under the warm sun.
